A collaborative process. The foundational aspect of our builds is clear communication. We go to great lengths to understand the needs of each client as well as their aesthetic preferences. What differentiates our builds from others is our focus on immaculate and unique woodwork, and we guide our clients through the process of material selection to ensure that the build turns out exactly as they envisioned it, and within the budget of the project.
Custom Vans
At Cold Mountain Vans, we can build or install anything you might want in a custom van. We can assist you with distinct parts of your build such as design or installing a fan or window, or we can build you a complete custom van. For custom builds, our basic setup includes a spacious bed and lots of storage, solar panel and 12-volt electrical system, a propane heater and stove, sink, refrigerator, intake and exhaust fan, inverter/charger, passenger swivel seat, and a large potable water tank. Builds designed for more frequent use or full time living often also include a composting toilet, a microwave and water heater, and a shower. All of our vans are built to suit each customer’s needs, budget, and lifestyle, and we are happy to discuss any desired setup. All of our vans are impeccably finished in the wood of your choice.
Consulting
We are happy to help you through any aspect of your build or to advise you as to pricing and quality of a van you are considering purchasing. Consultation calls usually run about an hour and cost $80.
Cabinetmaking & Built-ins
For clients located near Portland, Maine, we’re also available for cabinetmaking projects and built ins, as well as commissions for tables.
